US Out of World Cup = Market Top?

After the USA got blown out of the World Cup by Belgium (4-1) we wonder if there is any correlation to a market top.

Ironically (or NOT) sports events often coincide with market tops and/or other meaningful world events occurring at the same time.

And they consistently revolve around Geo-Political events that often fall by the wayside due to the many Distractions de Jour (DDJ) created by the financial Presstitutes.

Tuesday’s action in the markets isn’t necessarily calling for a crash.

But upon closer inspection we can see how the markets are looking tired.

As a result, the Distractions de Jour are ramped up to keep the average investor from seeing what’s going on “Behind the Curtain.”

A short list of current Distractions de Jour (DDJ) would include:

• Japan’s debt, inflation, and a collapsing Yen exposing a failed model…soon to become a contagion…who’s next…Europe?

• Samsung, Semis, The Strait, & Sanctions Spark Market Maelstrom, Momo (Momentum) Meltdown

• US Launches New Iran Strikes Overnight: ‘Heavy Costs’ For Attacks on Commercial Shipping

• Cuba’s Power Grid Has Collapsed

• 84-year-old Senator, Mitch McConnell has remained hospitalized since being found unresponsive after a cardiac event on June 14^th

Adding intrigue to the McConnell melodrama, most people familiar with it are asking where is his Chinese wife.

 

 

See what I mean?

Unfortunately, most investors are so easily distracted by propaganda, melodrama, and especially Wall Street guru wannabes, that they fail to look at the big picture.

Market Top

As a result, they tend to see and understand the markets from a myopic point of view which causes them to miss a Market Top.

Adding gasoline to that fire, we are bombarded daily with myopic forecasters telling us to expect a 70% crash at any time.

To those forecasters we would like to remind them that we are Still in The Most Hated Bull Market in History.

In the meantime, we like to bring to your attention events (like the Knicks winning the NBA championship) that often signal market tops so you can be prepared to take advantage of them while other investors are running for the exits.
