Kennedy Barbeque Heats Up

As Democrats continue their relentless grilling of RFK Jr., Republicans are joining the fray as the Kennedy barbeque heats up.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana Republican, ended a three-hour confirmation hearing Thursday by telling Kennedy that he was “struggling” with his nomination and might call him over the weekend, though he did not say how he would vote.

In addition to Cassidy, Kennedy will also have to win over the swing votes of Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitch McConnell, who have raised concerns about Kennedy and also voted against Trump’s defense secretary nominee.

 

Cassidy is no stranger to these predicaments and the outcry they might spark — he voted to convict Trump on impeachment charges after his first term in 2021.

In addition to Cassidy, other Republicans who voted to convict Trump in 2021 were Senators Richard Burr of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.

 

And we all know where Mitch (the turtle) McConnell stands regarding Trump.

 

Ironically (or NOT) Kennedy and other Cabinet nominees like Tulsi Gabbard represent a new coalition built by Trump’s campaign.

 

And like Trump, Kennedy has a shared vision of dismantling the status quo.

 

As a result, the Democrats would love nothing more than to derail any of Trump’s nominees…especially Kennedy.

Do you remember who they believed was qualified for the position Kennedy is seeking?

 

 

 

 

And how quickly they try to manufacture common sense into ways to cast Kennedy as a radical extremist.

 

 

 

 

Ironically (or NOT…AGAIN) watching these hearings gives new meaning to the phrase: “Life imitates Art.”
