Going from Bad to Worse

You know things are going from bad to worse when you hear Trump claim he has “All The Time In The World To End Iran War.”

It gets worse.

On April 23rd, a reporter asked Trump: “How long are you willing to wait for a response from Iran?”

Trump:   “Don’t rush me. We were in Vietnam for 18 years.”

We have 2 questions Questions:

  • How did we go from “a little excursion” to “Don’t rush me. We were in Vietnam for 18 years?”

  • What was the end result of Vietnam?

And just for funzies we’re adding a few quotes along the way, declaring victory since the war in Iran started on February 28th.

Key details regarding the declaration include:

  • Initial Claim: On March 11, 2026, Trump stated that the United States had “virtually destroyed Iran” and knocked out 58 Iranian naval ships.

  • Continued Assertions: Trump subsequently repeated that the war was won on several occasions, such as March 17, March 24, March 26, and April 6, amid shifting timelines for the conflict, according to.

  • Ceasefire and “Total Victory”: On April 7, 2026, while announcing a two-week cease-fire for negotiations, Trump declared, “Total and complete victory. 100%. No question about it,”.

  • Context: The war began on February 28, 2026, and despite these declarations of victory, Trump sometimes maintained that the U.S. would “finish the job”

At this point, we sure hope he doesn’t finish the job like they did in Vietnam.

Bad to Worse

Because as it stands right now, the damage to rebuild the oil rich nations in the Middle East will be in the Trillions over the next decade.

And for some companies the rebuilding of the infrastructure will be an opportunity of a lifetime.

But, unfortunately, for the rest of the world it will be the beginning of massive inflation, combined with food shortages, increased poverty in more than just the usual third world countries, and increasing civil unrest.

And if you thought the protests from the Vietnam era were bad, wait and see the fallout from the current disaster in the Middle East.

Ironically (or NOT) many of the protesters from the Vietnam era are some of the policy/decision makers in Congress today.

Attacking Iran at the behest of Israel will very likely go down as the biggest policy blunder in the history of the United States.

None of this had to happen.

And it’s going from bad to worse on multiple levels.

And share this with a friend…even if they don’t remember much about the Vietnam war.  They’ll thank YOU later.

And tell them:

But we use finance to give you hope.
