Everyone seems to be up in arms over Trump’s tariffs against China.
Some hate him for them while others cheer him on.
Who’s right?
In the long run, Trump’s tariffs will benefit China because they will force them to turn inward to sell goods and services.
In other words, they’ll develop their own consumer market and become the largest consumers in the world.
It’s also going to be the final nail in the coffin for the US control over the world currency.
(We wrote about that Here and Here.)
Take a step back and realize something.
For the time being, the U.S. is the biggest economy and everyone wants to sell to America because it has the largest consumer market.
However, China has approximately 1 Billion more consumers than the US.
They’re sitting on the biggest consumer market in the world with India (another 1 Billion+ consumers) right next door.
It’s only a matter of time before their sales to the US will be a pittance compared to sales to their own consumers.
And tariffs will accelerate the process.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not going to happen in the next year or two. But the process is well underway.
And the future of China leading the world is already baked in the cake.
The question to you is: Will you sit idly by and watch it happen (like the staggering Chinese growth over the last 30 years) or will you get in on the action?
