Have Politicians Become Modern-Day Pharisees?

Checkout the following definition:

plural noun: Pharisees

1. a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity.
   1. a self-righteous person; a hypocrite.

History clearly shows that the Pharisees were at various times a political party, a social movement, and a school of thought in the Holy Land during the time of Second Temple Judaism.

They used their influence to wield power and control over anyone who disagreed with them.

Especially anyone who believed and/or followed the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a threat to their very existence because he exposed their hypocrisy and corruption.

So, what did they do about it?

They crucified him.

I mention this, not just because the Christmas season is upon us.  But more so because today’s politicians seem to fit the same mold as the Pharisees.

Don’t get mad…follow me here.

Christmas used to be a magical time of the year (and hopefully for young kids that magic still exists).

However, today it’s devolved into a desperate power-grab for retailers (Cough! Amazon. Cough!), Social Justice Warriors (SJW’s) claiming Santa is a homophobe or Christmas music is racist…and especially politicians.

That’s right.  The Pharisees in DC, along with their partners in crime from Wall Street, use this time of the year to exploit you.

They know you’re not paying attention and purposely create other distractions so you won’t see them stuff their coffers with the booty they ransack from the markets.

Ooops!  Did I say “booty”?

Someone will probably say this email is about sexual harassment and/or slut shaming based on me using “booty”.
