Pentagon Announces Israel Spying on US

The only surprise surrounding the Pentagon announcing that Israel is spying on the US is the fact that the Pentagon admitted it.

Seriously, they are presenting this as if it is some shocking revelation.

But it is nothing new.

Way back in 1987 a man named Jonathan Pollard stole massive quantities of classified intelligence for Israel and was convicted.

And the NSA reportedly caught Israeli officials discussing efforts to influence U.S. policy during the Obama administration.

Ironically (or NOT) even former CIA and FBI officials have repeatedly acknowledged that Israel conducts aggressive intelligence operations inside the United States.

And just to clarify a point, this is not a conspiracy theory.

This is how nation-states behave.

Always have and most likely always will be that way.

But what’s most interesting about this “so-called shocking revelation” of Israeli spying is the timing.

As a result, we’ll chalk it up as another Distraction de Jour.

Because why else would Washington warn about Israeli intelligence activities at the exact moment the United States is becoming increasingly entangled in Middle Eastern affairs?

Once again, Do the Math:

  • The Iran conflict continues to escalate

  • Gaza was destroyed and forgotten

  • And now Lebanon is under a constant barrage

  • American military assets are spread across the region

  • Defense spending is approaching levels that would have been unthinkable a generation ago

  • Yet instead of reassessing these commitments, our AIPAC devout Congress wants even deeper integration

Israel Spying

This poses several interesting questions, like:

If intelligence officials genuinely believe there is a serious security concern, why pursue greater integration?

And if greater integration is essential, then why raise alarms?

And why in the heck is Congress moving to pass legislation to allow Israel to have control over our military? *

(* Be sure to check out Section 224 of the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) establishes a formal “United States–Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative”)

As we have mentioned since the war in Iran (“not really a war”) started, it seems that Washington no longer has a coherent strategy.

Let’s face it… every country spies. China spies. Russia spies. Britain spies. France spies, etc.

The United States spies on allies and adversaries alike.

But the real issue is that the DC Boyz continually place themselves in positions where they cannot distinguish between American interests and the interests of everyone else.

Unfortunately, we have morphed into a system that no longer knows where its own interests begin and end.

And that is a far greater threat than any espionage operation.
