Farmageddon 2.0…Officially in Your Face
While everyone focuses on the scandal distraction de jour the devastation taking place in the agriculture industry quietly flies under the radar.
Let’s be honest here.
How many of you go out of your way to learn what the official USDA website is saying about the vast amount of Un-Planted crops this year?
Crickets…
Knowing that this isn’t the most interesting subject out there, we decided to give you a clip from their website that may shock you:
Agricultural producers reported they were not able to plant crops on more than 19.4 million acres in 2019, according to a new report released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This marks the most prevented plant acres reported since USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) began releasing the report in 2007 and 17.49 million acres more than reported at this time last year.
Translation: Farmageddon is underway.
The report also said:
Of those prevented plant acres, more than 73 percent were in 12 Midwestern states, where heavy rainfall and flooding this year has prevented many producers from planting mostly corn, soybeans and wheat.
As a consumer/investor, you should be aware that:
- This leads to food shortages
- Which leads to higher food prices
- Which leads to more dependence on agricultural imports
- Which leads to opportunity for those with ears to hear
In the past we’ve written about the dangers of Farmageddon coming to America (HERE, HERE, and HERE).
We’ve also told you how it’s tied into the Solar Minimum/Global Cooling cycle we’re now in (HERE, HERE, and HERE).
So, now that the USDA official numbers are confirming what we’ve been saying, shouldn’t you be thinking how this affects the global markets?
