John from Florida writes in: “James, I noticed you have the Reverend of Finance after your name on every email/post.
So, does that mean you’re a preacher…or what’s up with that?”
Thanks, John.
And to put things in perspective, you could say I’m a preacher…especially when it comes to finance.
And the traditional role of a preacher is to share the Gospel, or “Good News” of salvation through grace in a savior…namely Jesus Christ.
But let me clarify the “Good News” a bit further.
The word “Gospel” is not simply translated Good News.
Its literal translation is a superlative meaning “nearly too good to be true news.”
But I’m not going to preach on that today (pun intended).
Instead, let’s focus on the title The Reverend of Finance.
In addition to Simplifying Wall Street…In Plain English, we preach the gospel (good news) of how you can use finance to improve your world AND the world around you.
And in order to do that you need to be aware of the major enemy of prosperity…namely CORRUPTION.
Ironically (or NOT) corruption has been around forever…especially when it comes to finance.
Even Jesus (The Prince of Peace) used a whip on the corrupt “money changers” as he kicked over their tables and threw them out of the temple.
But the point that is often missed about Jesus is the fact that He talked about money more than any subject in the Bible.
Fact check that!
Jesus Was THE Original Reverend of Finance
So, before you start complaining: “Hey, wait! Isn’t money the root of all evil?”
I’ll refer you to the actual scripture:
“For the love of money is the root of all evil”
~1 Timothy 6:10~
Did you notice it says “For the love of money?”
Unfortunately, most people miss that part.
But that’s why we like to include scripture in how we present the world of finance to you.
Yes, it’s a corrupt world.
And Yes, the 1% makes fortunes at the expense of the 99%.
But that’s why we publish our daily posts AND monthly newsletters.
We believe that if you can understand the truth about how things operate in the financial world “Behind the Curtain” then you’ll prosper AND thrive in Turbulent Times.
And to prove it we encourage you to read our newsletter (HERE).
And for the price of a couple of lattes you can have access to all of our archives without any long-term commitment on your part.

Share this with a friend…especially if they know Jesus.
They’ll thank YOU later.
