In September we witnessed an onslaught of AI DOOM putting a damper on the AI BOOM.
It supposedly started with a resignation quote from someone named Jacob Coxon…with his parting thoughts on X, stating that AI could exterminate humanity within 10 years.
Jacob Coxon on X:
“I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives.”
Ironically (or NOT) his resignation tweet, now closing in on 200 million views, which came from a formerly unknown X account, less than a year old, with no followers, and two-name changes in the last six months.
Somehow this doesn’t pass the smell test.
However, thanks to the Coxon post, everyone’s favorite Democratic Socialist and lifelong, bloodsucking Government leech, Bernie Sanders, has provided his solution by introducing The Ban AI-Superintelligence Act, that would make it illegal to create an AI model that was more intelligent than humans.
LMAO!
Smarter than which humans?
The average person on the street can’t name 10 different countries.
And part of this bill prescribes a 20-year prison term for any person who did create such a beast and the “corporate death penalty” for companies.
Please, Bernie…give it a rest.
But there’s more to this story than another pathetic Bernie Sanders brigade.
Even the Pope has weighed on AI safety.
And not to be left behind, Bill Gates hit the Sunday talk circuit this past weekend with another doozy of a soundbite:
“AI is powerful enough to cause a billion deaths.”
Translation: “we need to turn control of it over to politicians and a new class of global inspectors.”
Again, this doesn’t pass the smell test.
As a result, The Powers That Be (TPTB) are in a panic.
Because they know most A.I. systems are designed to support the approved propaganda, and to suppress contrary conclusions as best it can.
AI systems do not learn…and, if you can get one to act in accordance with the actual data…it will forget it all…and revert to its base, programed dataset the instant you let it.
So, the next best thing they can do, since they can’t put the genie back in the bottle, is to convince the masses that AI is bad, and rogue AIs are going to literally exterminate humanity.
Hence the AI doom psyop which has basically become a political issue.
Remember, the same people who were wearing N95 masks in 2025, adding pronouns to their names, putting the Ukrainian flag in their bio, keying Teslas and stomping around in “No Kings” parades are now protesting data centers.
Bottom line, here!
They want you scared, stupid and subservient, instead of spending your time creating software, and/or building out your personal business empires.
