We apologize if you were unable to open our email or website yesterday and want to clarify that it was due to a datacenter disruption.
Translation: Another, “OOPS! What just happened?”
We later found out it was our hosting service that crashed like a heavyweight fighter who got knocked out.
The following is what we discovered:
Updated] Namecheap.com Website and Services: Emergency Maintenance

Dear Customers,
We’re currently responding to an emergency caused by a failure of cooling systems at our Phoenix datacenter. As a result, the following services may be affected:
Blah! Blah! Blah!
Every time a datacenter or major server crashes, the blame usually falls on some “unforeseen circumstance” with management running around saying: “I’m shocked I tell you…Shocked! Who could have foreseen this happening?”
And in our case, it happened to be a “Cooling issue” that shut down the system.

At least that’s what they are telling us.
But regardless of what causes the failure, it’s becoming more obvious how the necessity of predictable energy requirements is becoming a major concern for future computing needs…especially Datacenters.
These disruptions may seem minor in the grand scheme of things. But they are cumulative and portend to a much more frightening/devastating outcome.
Datacenter and Banking Disruptions
And with all the hoopla over AI Datacenters (in your face 24/7) it’s hard to see the effects disruptions have on banking center.
Cue up: Iran taking out the banking center in Dubai (For over a week) on the first wave of drone attacks.
What? You didn’t hear about it in the main stream news?
Ironically (or NOT) it was a major disruption that caused the price of gold to fall from its lofty high near $5,500 in March.
Huh? How is that possible?
Let me explain.
Over the last decade, Dubai and Singapore have become the largest private banking centers in the world.
And when your banking center can’t operate, money stops moving creating a liquidity panic.
As a result, most of the Arab nations were forced to create liquidity by selling a big chunk of their most liquid asset on the planet. *
Namely GOLD.
(* Note: We explain this in more detail in our August newsletter scheduled for release on 08/15/26 HERE)
We mention all this to remind you that if/when the grid goes down near you, how are you prepared to respond.
Will your business function normally?
Will you be able to cool/heat your home? Cook food?
