The tit-for-tat strategy, currently running amok between Iran and Trump, could result in the shutting off of the entire Gulfs power.
Huh?
Trump’s latest ultimatum was that he vowed the US will strike an Iranian bridge or power plant after every Iranian attack on shipping.
Iran’s response: The IRGC threatened to hit Gulf energy infrastructure if Iranian infrastructure is attacked, saying it will cut off electricity among US allies.
Let’s pause and look at the word “Ultimatum.”
According to Merriam-Webster:
: a final proposition, condition, or demand
especially: one whose rejection will end negotiations and cause a resort to force or other direct action
We question whether anyone has thought this through.
Because if the Middle-East is shut down via no power, we will see a rapid descent into chaos around the world.
And that’s why making ultimatums is a childish stupid form of negotiations.
Furthermore, if you cannot (or will not) back up your threats you then are humiliated in front of the entire world.
As we said in yesterday’s post:
The US has not only gained nothing from this “Excursion” (how Trump originally described it) but has lost the mantle of Hegemonic power and simultaneously compromised the Petrodollar.
Unfortunately, that’s what ultimatums can do to you.
Another strategy of using ultimatums is that they make great “Distractions de Jour” (DDJ).

What this is basically saying is that the Saudi’s are now considered trustworthy with a nuclear enrichment program…but not the Iranians.
Question: Have we somehow forgotten that the Saudi’s are one of the tope 3 world sponsors of terrorism?
And you might recall that 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.
But it’s okay for them to have nukes now?
What could possibly go wrong?
