You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure how Trump is preparing for war. Especially since he just announced that he wants to push the U.S. defense budget to $1.5 trillion in 2027.
His proposal represents a roughly 50% increase from the $901 billion defense budget approved for 2026.
And this massive increase in funding represents a country preparing for a major geopolitical event.
Ironically (or NOT) Trump knows we can no longer trust the neocons in NATO. And besides, America is the one primarily funding the organization.
But all of America’s allies are on the fence in terms of continued support, with the majority showing intense disapproval for recent military ventures.
Adding gasoline to the preparing for war fires, senior officials at the Pentagon have announced to Trump how they need more time to prepare for war with Iran.
Huh?
And they phrased it by saying how they need more time to consolidate American troops deployed to the Middle East before the US launches an attack on Iran.

After these announcements, we’re still waiting for the haters to start screaming that Trump is not preparing for war.
But you’ll have a hard time convincing us.
Besides, having an additional $500 billion+ in military spending ensures the United States retains its reputation for having the most advanced military in the world…one would hope.
But…and this is a very VERY Big Butt, China has been rapidly advancing its military capabilities in preparation for a grand-scale conflict.
Maybe that’s why silver was up almost 8% on Monday.
Preparing for War
So far, our theme for 2026, The Year of Living Dangerously has been an understatement.
As a result, confidence will continue to decline as war nears, and capital will continue to seek refuge in private assets. (Cough! Gold/Silver, Cough! Cough!)
And let us remind you (AGAIN) that when confidence declines, politicians turn to external enemies to justify internal failures. Because war becomes a tool to distract from fiscal mismanagement and to consolidate power.
Period.
