This Time is Different

The four most dangerous words investors hear is “This time is different.”

And the Goo Roo Wannabes’ like to get you all worked up by comparing the markets today with the crashes in 1929, or 1987 and even 2008.

Their stories can be compelling.

But they’re based on fear and not necessarily fact.

Why?

Because gloom and doom strikes fear in most investors.

Which, ultimately causes you to zig while they zag.

It’s how the 1% makes fortunes at YOUR expense.

However, we at Financialsmatter.com have lived through every (numerous) market cycle in the last 40 years.

And we can assure you that “this time it IS NOT different.”

How do we know that?

 

As we are wont to say:  “The markets move in the direction that frustrates the most investors.”

And you are most likely to make mistakes when you listen to the Presstitutes telling you that “this time is different.”

Check out what the wisest AND richest man in history had to say over 2,300 years ago.

 

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

 

~Ecclesiastes 1:9~

 

In Plain English, King Solomon was saying:  History merely repeats itself.

And the reason history repeats is because The Passions of Man Never Change.

 

But, But…This Time is Different

 

 

So, when you consider how history is ridded with examples of repetition – more specifically WARS – you’ll understand why this time is NOT different.

Famines, droughts, natural disasters, plagues/disease, corruption in government – and especially CLIMATE CHANGE – have been around since the beginning of recorded history.

And they all move in cycles…just like the markets.

 

So, keep this in mind as the Presstitutes continue to whip you into a frenzy over current events.

And remember, the Presstitutes no longer report the news.

They say only what their Wall Street Overlords tell them to say.
