Money is NOT the Root of All Evil

When you hear someone say that Money is the root of all evil, you should know that it is probably the most misquoted verse in the Bible.

Some of you may have heard it preached in church.

And preachers/priests often conveniently let you think that poverty is holy.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

 

“Money is NOT the root of all evil.”

 

Even today it’s often used by people to try and condemn you for having prosperity or being financially successful.

But have you ever noticed that people who misquote that verse are usually NOT prosperous nor successful?

 

Let’s set the record straight with the actual verse from 1 Timothy 6 vs 10…and I quote:

 

“For the love of money is the root of all evil:”

 

See the difference?

 

It says “For the Love of Money…”

 

Money alone does not make you or anyone else evil.

 

It simply amplifies what is inside of you.

And that amplification comes from the desire to have money or riches as a trophy or milestone of personal success.

 

This is one of the major flaws of how Wall Street speaks to the average investor.

Ironically (or NOT) the Wall Street Boyz want you to believe that unless you make your money like they do, you are often looked down upon.

Wow!

And that kind of thinking is just plain messed up.

However, you don’t need to operate that way in order be a great investor.

All it takes to get around that mentality is a minor change in your thinking process.

 

Here is the secret in a nutshell:  Stop making money your God.

 

Okay, right now you’re probably thinking, “Money’s not my God…How dare you say…”

 

Hold on!
