Santa Claus Rally?

Over the last 20+ years in December we’ve seen a Santa Claus Rally more than 50% of the time.

But it doesn’t always come before Christmas.

Some will argue that it’s more likely the week after Christmas.

So, if it doesn’t happen this week, we still have a four-day trading week starting on Tuesday.

And up to this point it’s looking like next week will be our last chance for a year-end rally.

But what happens if it doesn’t occur.

In reality…not much.

Ironically (or NOT) the week before AND after Christmas is often a great time to get ready for the “January Effect.”
