Here’s an excerpt:
Happy Father’s Day
It’s highly likely that we all have memories of our dads where they disappointed us by not coming to one of our sporting events, school presentations, father/daughter get togethers, etc.
But we often overlook how they sacrificed those times because of work or other commitments in order to create a better life for us than they had growing up.
And we rarely consider the anxiety they may have suffered by not being able to attend those events.
Ironically (or NOT) good moms have always been there to fill in gap. And they supported their husbands even when they made mistakes.
Thank God for all you Moms out there
Without moms most of us wouldn’t pick up on the subtle non-verbal communication that dads are often notorious for.
So, thanks moms for interceding on our behalf by telling us things like: “Don’t worry, honey. Your father isn’t really going to kill you because you wrecked his new car.”
But despite not having the open communication skills of a mother, fathers have a special quality of communication that’s not always verbal but often subtle yet unforgettable.
