People Are Strange

In the words of Jim Morrison: “People are strange, when you’re a stranger, Faces look ugly when you’re alone.

Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted,

Streets are uneven when you’re down.”

Have you ever wondered why certain songs from the 1960s were prescient in how they foretold what we’re living in today’s world?

Back then, artists like Jim Morrison, of the Doors, were considered extremists, radicals, and even Communists.

And even back then it seemed “Strange” how many of these ‘radical’ artists met with an untimely death.

Namely: Morrison, Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain, Lennon…just to name a few.

Ironically (or NOT) the anti-establishment hippies of those days – considered reckless radicals – have secured positions in today’s political arena.

But unlike their radical days and radical ways, they’ve morphed into the very establishment they claimed to have hated.

And not only have these Baby Boomers turned our world upside down, they’ve spawned a generation that’s celebrated and rewarded for their open hatred of our nation (Cough! Barack Obama, Hairball Cough!).

Why People are Strange

So, is it any wonder why politics has become strange to the point where we find ourselves asking:

1. “Where did these strange people come from?”
2. “How did our world get so f***ed up?”

Sad to say we need to look at our own accountability for the answers to those questions.

So, if you find yourself wondering why people are strange you need to understand that – with the exception of the 2020 presidential election – we the people elected most of the reps in DC today.

And this begs the question: “What are you going to do about it?”

To say you’re not going to vote in the mid-terms – because you believe the elections are crooked – is basically casting a vote for the existing O’Biden administration.

Huh?

That’s right.

Because if we have any chance of turning our current nightmare around, it will start at the voting booth.

Otherwise, we’ll be stuck hearing Jim Morrison’s haunting lyrics:
