There’s something about one of the greatest stories in history – David verses Goliath – that causes us to cheer for the underdog.
Overcoming all odds is what heroes are made of and David certainly fits that category.
Afterall, who would’ve cared if David killed a dwarf instead of a giant?
However, most people miss the true message behind one of the greatest victories in history.
David knew ahead of time that he’d kill Goliath.
Huh!
That’s right. Prior to killing Goliath, David “Slew a lion and a bear.”
He had confidence based on his experience and his covenant with God.
1 Samuel 17:37 reads: “David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.”
Now THAT’S confidence.
So, now you’re probably wondering, “What’s this have to do with investing?”
Good question.
Far too many investors are intimidated by the, so called, “Wall Street Goliath” they face which defeats them before they get started.
They mistakenly listen to advice from Government Cronies and Wall Street parasites (Cough! Warren Buffet, Cough!) who tell you to “buy the index funds.”
Don’t you find it odd that characters like Buffett constantly tell you to do things they’ve never done?
If your experience (or lack thereof) causes you to react in fear – like a Wall Street Philistine who openly threatened the Israelites – “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.” – don’t be dismayed.
We have over 108+ years of frontline experience on Wall Street.
