I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this but have you ever seen a video of someone effortlessly peeling a hardboiled egg in one or two pieces?
Drives me nuts.
Every time I try to do it the egg shell ends up in 14,000 tiny pieces. Adding to my frustration, it then takes me about 15 minutes to peel it.
The sunny side (pun intended) is that I still enjoy the egg…especially after overcoming my desire to throw it in the trash and grab a box of cereal.
By now you’re probably thinking, “What’s this have to do with investing or “Connecting the Dots” on a global scale?
Plenty.
You see, when investing, some people appear to make all the right moves effortlessly picking winners (peeling the shell in one move). At least that’s what they want you to think.
The reality is, prior to becoming a proficient investor, they’ve broken a lot of eggs along the way. (And most end up trashing the egg for the box of cereal).
So, what may appear as effortless investing is usually a result of taking many pieces of a puzzle and slowly peeling them back to get to the egg.
That’s essentially what we do for you.
