Growing up you probably heard the phrase, Money is the root of all evil. And, if so, it programmed you to buy into that false claim.
The scripture 1Timothy 6:10 actually reads: For the love of money is the root of all evil.
Big difference. Huge.
What you do with your money is what makes it good or evil.
I truly believe this false teaching about money is a root cause of why so many people fail when it comes to investing in the stock market.
Hear me out on this one.
Its a well-known fact that fear and greed drive the markets. And its safe to say that neither fear nor greed is a positive emotion.
So, from the start, you face conflicts with your mindset for investing. And emotions (especially negative ones) often compromise your judgement. In essence, they keep you from Listening to the Markets.
Its easy to get distracted with the garbage put out by the financial press. But, until you realize that theyre not your friend, (nor do they have your best interests in mind) youll fall for their tricks over and over again.
When you learn to remove your emotions from a trade, youll become a better investor. And its easier than you think.
More importantly, youll appreciate the fact that its okay to make a lot of money in the markets as long as you keep it in perspective.
Learn how to improve your ears to hear what the markets are saying.
