Question: What’s funnier than the reaction of people being “Shocked, I tell you, Shocked” over Facebook being exposed for selling private information?
Answer: Zuckerberg’s testimony.
First of all, if you think for a moment that Facebook, Google, Amazon, and any other social media keeps all your information private, then you are simply…well, naïve.
“Yeah, but they don’t have a right to…”
Hold on!
When you join a social media network (or buy from Amazon) you give up all of your rights to privacy.
It’s how they’re structured…so get over it.
Have you ever noticed that once you click on (almost) anything, you start getting pop-ups for that item?
When this happens, several things are going on:
Advertisers (see you showing an interest in a particular product/service) pounce on and bombard you.
Another tidbit of information has been added to your personal profile that’s sold for a profit.
The NSA, CIA, FBI and most security agencies, now have more evidence about you that can be used for OR AGAINST you.
So, how do you think everyone gets access to your private information?
THEY PAY FOR IT…AND IT’S VERY PROFITABLE.
Of course, Zuck, Bezos and most CEO’s (except that idiot from Cambridge Analytica who admitted using private data to bribe politicians) will deny using your private information for profit.
C’MON, MAN!
You should be concerned when CEO’s go before congress and flat out lie about their business models. Or how some “outside entity” took advantage of their proprietary information
You should also expect your Congress critters to pound their chests and scream, “We’re forming a new committee to further investigate this invasion of privacy.”
Same old lies…same old results.
