Say it again, Ooooohhh WAR! Huh! (Good God y’all) What is it Good for?
Absolutely NOTHIN’, (unless, of course, you profit from it). At least that’s how Wall Street looks at it.
The lyrics from WAR (the Motown hit from the 60’s) are as true today as they were back then. Unfortunately, the game hasn’t changed…only the players.
Okay, I know I’ll get hate mail for saying this, but it’s the truth.
War today isn’t waged for some righteous cause. It’s waged for the global cabal of bankers and the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). Period. They’re both key players for the “Club” who uses them to influence the markets.
Are you familiar with the Latin expression “Qui Bono?” It means “Who benefits?”
Ask yourself “Who benefits?” when you hear about wars and rumors of wars. Then start connecting the dots and you’ll be amazed at what you find. Those who benefit most from wars operate behind the scenes (sometimes for years) and use political clout to justify spending billions to profit from war.
In many ways, it’s a sad commentary on human nature. The good news is there’s always a flip side to everything.
You can make a lot of money buying defensive stocks when the threat of war is prominent. However, at the same time, you can cash in on the same trend WITHOUT investing in companies that make weapons of mass destruction.
Check out the October issue of Simplifying Wall Street…In Plain English (HERE) to see other ways to profit by using counter trends to defensive companies.
Because like the song says….” War can’t give life, it can only take it away, OOOOHH WAR”
Invest confidently,
James
