Bifurcation, Backwardation, ZIRP, NIRP, Contango.
Say those words out loud real fast.
Go ahead…say ‘em out loud.
Did you sound like a cheerleader chanting some foreign language? or did it sound like gibberish?
They’re actual words used by many traders, gurus, and Wall Street promoters.
I admit they sound like a foreign language, but they serve several purposes. (1) They reveal or describe certain market conditions. (2) They act as “signals” for trading purposes. (3) They’re meant to confuse and/or impress you.
And they’re only a few of many words that make up Wall Street’s “Secret Language.”
Funny thing is, most people (myself included) aren’t impressed with words that don’t make sense.
Here’s the good news.
If you get a basic understanding of them, you’ll be better equipped to “connect the dots” and stay ahead of the crowd.
Compare this with trying to run a business in any foreign language (French, German, Greek, Japanese etc.). If you don’t understand the language, you’ll lose money…a LOT of money.
So, like learning any language, you need a good teacher or translator that makes it simple and easy to understand.
That’s where we come in.
Every month we feature a column called: “Wall Street’s Secret Language…Annoying Acronyms…and Time-Tested Truisms.” (And each month we add new words to help you learn more.)
It’s an invaluable reference source that does more than give you definitions of certain weird sounding words and acronyms. It shows you how to make money from them.
And it’s explained …in Plain English.
But you must be a premium subscriber to get the goodies.
