Definition of ignorance
: the state or fact of being ignorant : lack of knowledge, education, or awareness
The irony of Merriam Webster’s definition of ignorance is glaring.
We live in the most advanced era in history where technology rules.
However, people seem to be more stupid, unaware, or ignorant now than I can ever remember in my lifetime.
This especially applies to the average investor.
I’m not saying they’re stupid (well…maybe I am…kinda…sorta) but their ignorance of how the boyz in the “Club” screw them is amazing.
You constantly hear the cronies, like Warren Buffet, pontificate how “the small investor needs to buy index funds.”
What these hypocrites fail to tell you is that these boyz own big positions in the numerous ETF’s they’re telling you to buy.
They also fail to mention how, if you bought the S&P 500 or DOW index last year at this time, you haven’t made a lot of money. Or you’re possibly losing money with an index.
They cover it up by saying that “YEAR-TO-DATE” the indexes are up over 17%.
They use the year to date numbers (which look good) as opposed to where the indexes were EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGO.
As I mentioned earlier, they’re about the same as they were last year at this time.
See how easy you can be misled by these sharks?
That’s why there’s no premium on ignorance.
Instead of listening to the Whores-of-Babylon media presstitutes you should be listening to the markets.
They’ll tell you everything you need to know about where the cycles are shifting.
However, you must have ears to hear.
