There’s an old adage on Wall Street the says, “The Markets Move in the Direction that Frustrates the Most People.”
And if you don’t believe it then you haven’t been paying attention lately.
Cue up: January-June 2022.
In case you missed it, the markets got crushed in the first half of this year.
And in our December 2021 “…In Plain English” newsletter we said you would be wise to take profits and raise cash going into 2022.
Did you?
Cue up: July and August 2022.
However, since the bottom in June, the markets have remarkably recovered leaving most people wondering WTF.
And the frustration of most investors increased as everyone expected the markets to continue to crash after June.
But in our June newsletter we wrote “Why We Love Utilities” and gave our subscribers 7 different utility stocks to buy.
One stock on our list, NextEra (NEE), increased 27% in TWO MONTHS…highly unusual for utility stocks.
Markets Move in the Direction
These are two classic and recent examples of how the markets move in the direction that frustrates the most people.
So, what’s next?
If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice that the last few days in August have caused the doom porn addicts to scream, “Run for the exits.”
But, don’t be surprised if we see another new high in the month of September.
Why?
It will definitely frustrate most investors.
And in the process, you’ll hear the 4 most dangerous words in investing: “This time is different.”

And by then the 99% will question their gloomy predictions and jump back in.
But that’s when the Boyz cut you off at the knees.
And you won’t see it coming.
Unless – here comes the shameless plug for our newsletter – you raise cash…which is one of the topics in the September 2022 issue of “…In Plain English” (HERE).
And now that August is over, you need to prepare how to navigate the minefields of Wall Street going into the Mid-Terms.
What are you waiting for?
Become a member of our Free-thinkers club (HERE) and you won’t get frustrated when the markets move in the direction that frustrates the most people.
Share this with a friend…especially if they think this time is different.
They’ll thank YOU later.
But we use finance to give you hope.
