Because, like it or not, our nation was founded on Godly principles that have been mercilessly destroyed over the last few decades.
As a result, our nation’s moral compass is so screwed up that we can’t even determine what is a woman today.
And with that in mind we’re turning today’s rant over to an “…In Plain English” subscriber that goes by the handle of Brother Bob.
So, preach it, Brother! (I love saying that…LOL!)

First of all, I want to thank you (James) for not being afraid to write about religious issues intertwined with finance.
Because people tend to think that money is evil.
But the Bible clearly states that: “For The Love of Money is the root of all evil.”
~ 1 Timothy 6:10 ~
Our Founding Fathers knew this.
And that is why they specifically kept government “out of the way” of the people and restricted government powers.
In doing so it allowed people to earn a living or create a business, providing a service or product that benefitted and employed others.
And the key to this was how it “restricted” government interference…especially when it comes to religious freedoms.
And it couldn’t be more obvious than the First Amendment:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Unfortunately, not only has freedom of speech come under great duress, but the church has kowtowed to pressures from government’s ultra-liberal policies that want to isolate Christians as terrorists.
But the truth is that God HAS Blessed America – via our Founding Fathers – as evidenced in the Pre-Amble to the Constitution declaring:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
And those “Unalienable Rights” are:

The right to freedom of speech.

The right to freedom from cruel and unusual punishment.

The right to privacy.
-
The right to education.
Notice that “Healthcare” is NOT an unalienable right.
But God has blessed America – unlike any other country in the world – with the availability of healthcare including multiple options to choose from.
And although corruption runs rampant in Washington DC, we have a lot to be thankful for in that we know the madness stops when we say NO.
It’s only a question of when do we collectively say no and re-establish what our Constitution stands for…restriction of government.
