Remember, Remember, the 5th of November

The full historical quote in today’s headline reads:

“Remember, remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, treason, and plot. I see no reason Why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot.”

 

And it was originated in 1605 by Guy Fawkes (whose gunpowder plot failed to blow up parliament) and popularized by the classic 2005 movie “V for Vendetta.”

 

V for Vendetta was a powerful movie about a loss of freedom and individuality which took place in a totalitarian England following a devastating war that changed the face of the planet.

 

 

 

 

And the parallels of V for Vendetta are eerily similar to what we have seen occur over the last four years.

 

 

 

 

It’s available on Netflix and is a must see.

Especially when you consider tomorrow’s election is on the 5^th of November…and what it means to the future of our nation AND the rest of the world.

 

Unfortunately, too many people are blinded by hatred.

 

 

 

 

How to Vote…

On the 5^th of November

 

 

Please notice that we did NOT say who to vote for… but how to vote.

 

Big Difference…HUGE.

 

And according to Christian Survey Group, Barna an estimated 34 million Christians have said they are not going to vote in the 2024 election.

 

Why?

 

Most of them believe their vote does not count.

To them (and others who feel the same) we would remind you of a Scripture that encourages you to vote for righteousness.

 

Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you. ² Darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you. ³ All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you.

 

~ Isaiah 60 1:3 ~

 

 

“In Plain English…” we have an obligation to vote despite the many flaws from the candidates running for president.

 

As a result, we should strongly consider voting for the candidate who most represents what the Word of God says and not based on hatred.

 

 

 

 

Hopefully we will remember this 5^th of November in a positive way as opposed to 2020.
