Just a Frog at the End of the Swamp

When you realize how corrupt our media and political system have become, you sometimes doubt if anyone cares.

Last week one of the most under-reported stories involved a US Treasury official being arrested and charged for leaking confidential info on Ex-Trump advisers.

Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards, has been charged with leaking confidential financial reports to the media concerning former Trump campaign advisers Paul Manafort and Richard Gates, according to The Hill.

When she was arrested, Edwards was in possession of a flash drive which was allegedly used to save the unlawfully disclosed SARs, (Suspicious Activity Reports) as well as a cell phone “containing numerous communications over an encrypted application in which she transmitted SARs and other sensitive government information to Reporter-1.”

So, where’s the outrage here?

She faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.  Unfortunately, she’s going to be tried in the Southern District of New York which is notorious for “turning the other cheek” when it comes to convicting those who might expose the “Club.”

Next thing you know we’ll be seeing another half million dollar “Gofundme” account in her name.

She’s being ignored like another frog at the end of the swamp because the “Club” doesn’t want you to know the truth.

Why?

Because Manafort could now make the case that unauthorized media leaks saturating national headlines biased the jury against him.

Ouch!

Unfortunately, this will quietly disappear like so many other stories like it.
