Call me “Old School” but I actually enjoy triggering people who get offended when using phrases like Holy Rolling…especially when it involves the markets.
Part of that has to do with how certain people respond to references to religious matters.
Case in point: In December one of our emails/posts struck a nerve with several readers who, to me, appear to be atheists.
I’ve actually had people drop at least three F-Bombs – one referencing the horse I rode in on – in only a couple of sentences.
The only part of that person’s tirade I would repeat is that she hates people who mix religion with money/investing.
She obviously missed my point.
How?
Because I never mentioned religion.

Making Fun of Holy Rolling
Another person scolded me for making fun of Holy Rollers.
Ironically (or NOT) she made a point to tell me that she personally didn’t like Holy Rollers. But went on to say that I shouldn’t mix money and religion together.
Again, religion wasn’t mentioned. (See post HERE)
Holy Rolling Perspective
When I was a teenager – a small town boy from the Mid-west – my friends and I would make fun of the hootin’ and hollerin’ we’d hear coming out of what we called “The Holy Rolling Church.”
Decades later, I learned why all the Holy Rollers were so excited.
They found the joy and peace that was missing in their lives from hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And for the last 32+ years, I consider myself one of them. (too long of a story to cover here)
But most people misinterpret get angry when I say things like “God wants you to prosper.”
Ironically (or NOT) it’s spelled out in scripture:
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
~3 John 1:2~
So, for those who get rattled when the markets get crazy, you probably won’t like our Holy Rolling Perspective for the markets in 2024.
However, if you’re not offended by this perspective, you’re gonna love seeing how easy it is to prosper AND thrive in 2024…for those with “ears to hear.”
Learn how in February’s edition of “…In Plain English” (HERE).
And feel free to share this with a friend who appreciates (or is triggered by) Holy Rolling.
They’ll thank YOU later.
