Fish in Water Don’t Know They’re Wet

You’re probably familiar with the expression “Like a fish out of water,” referring to someone or some thing that’s in a situation way beyond their comfort zone.

It’s very descriptive of most new investors.

They listen to the talking heads on TV – or their “Cousin Eddie” – rant about how to invest in the stock market and think, “I can do that.”

It’s true that – during good times – most investors can make money easily in the stock market.

But what happens when you enter Turbulent Times?

Unfortunately (or NOT), when times get tough most new investors end up flopping around on the ground gasping for air like a dying fish.

You might think it’s calloused to say that it’s not unfortunate for investors to get slaughtered in tough times.  However, 99% of investors are wrong most of the time.  It’s how the 1% make the big bucks.

The question you should be asking is: Why are most investors wrong?

The answer is so simple you’ll need someone to help you misunderstand it.

Are you ready?

Here it is: The markets ALWAYS move in anticipation of events…not the actual event.

So, by listening to Wall Street’s bought-and-paid-for media presstitutes, the 99% end up going in the opposite direction of the 1%.

They tell you to zig while they zag.

What’s amazing to me is how – after 38 years on Wall Street – I see most investors making the same mistakes over and over again.

If you’re going to survive Turbulent Times, like what we’re  starting to see in 2020, (notice I said starting?) you’ll need to be more like a fish in the water…who doesn’t know it’s wet.

Why is this important?

The biggest fortunes are made in chaotic markets…especially for those with “ears to hear.”
